LOOK EXPENSIVE ON A BUDGET

I came across an article that highlighted just how much millennials are into luxury fashion brands. Brands such as GUCCI and LOUIS VUITTON are evidently claiming a great share of the millennial market.

Evidence of this can be found through various social media platforms where some of these brands are bagging millions of followers correlating with higher sales to younger consumers. This just goes to show that we want luxury. However, if we were to be realistic, how many of the millennials are willing or even able to afford 2 luxury pieces. Here are a few tips for you to look like a million bucks on a budget. Are

1. MONOCHROME

Single color outfits look expensive and put together. When in doubt, Wear black; or what… Or any other neutral color.

2. THE RIGHT SHOE

A black heel has some level of class. Black for me will do. A nude one works equally well.

3. TEXTURED COAT

A nice textured coat doesn’t have to be expensive. A simple camel coat, imitation suede or in my case, faux fur will do.

4. GO MINIMAL ON THE ACCESSORIES

The less is more principal applies here. Finish your look either with gold/silver earrings or neckpiece but not both. A watch can be allowed.

5. RED LIPSTICK

The old trick of red lipstick still holds. The mystery will have people wondering what is it about her.

6. SUNGLASSES

Yes yes, I know… They serve a different purpose. Sunglasses can go a long way in raising your entire look to the next level. Just make sure they suit your face structure.

7. DONT FORGET THE HAT

Yes darling.  A proper hat screams ” HAUTE COUTURE ”

Until next time, keep slaying.
